OUR MISSION

There is no greater single investment in a developing society than the education of its girls and women. In Nepali culture, the education of daughters within families is not always a priority when financial limitations exist.  NYDP aims to identify talented and exceptional young women who do not have the resources to pursue their academic ambition and provide them with scholarships to fulfill their aspirations.  NYDP believes a key in sustainable development is education, and its goal is to generate a group of strong, intelligent woman to help lead the way. 


TIMELINE  

2013 - NYDP is granted 501(c)3 tax-exempt status by the IRS

2011 - NYDP becomes a registered Non-Profit Organization in the state of Washington

2007 - First scholarships awarded
